The floral emblem of Ontario, Canada is known as the White Trillium. This flowers grows freely in the forests and woodlands. The White Trillium can be recognized by the three white waxy petals that protrude from each flower. This flower blooms in April and in May. The Trillium is very sensitive to sunlight. The blossoms are usually facing in the direction of the sun. The Trillium is a protected species of flower, and should not be picked.
